Danny Trejo speaks to Animo Venice student body

1. What did Danny Trejo talk about yesterday?

Danny was talking about been a gang banger and how it can ruin ones life. He talked about staying in school. and how he turned his life.

2. Of all the things he said, what connected with you the most? Why?

I guess the fact that he was able to change his life. He said he did it by not using drugs anymore and helping other people.

3. What did you learn from his talk? How can you take what he leaned and apply to your life, this school, your home, and your community?

I guess whata stuck on was the fact that everyone can change their lives if they want to.

Falcons at Eagles

Michael Vick leads the Falcons in a difficult game against the Eagles for the NFC title who do you think is going to win. In the other hand Donovan McNabb has gotten the Eagles to the NFC title game for four consecutive years. This game will not be an easy one for the Falcons but we shall see Sunday 23 at 3:00 p.m. Good luck on your bets. I’ve already put 20 bucks into the Atlanta Falcons.

Baton Rouge

First Civil Rights Bus Boycott
African-American boycotted buses for eight days. In 1953 80% of bus drivers were black. many people forgot about boycott. Some guy named Jemison got involved in the movement when watching black people were standing in the bus after a long days work. it was against the law to sit in the front isles with whites. The Baton Rouge City Council agreed to open all seats on the bus except for the two front seats. Before the compromise white bus drivers went on strike for 4 days to fight the first compromise, which was to let blacks fill up the back half and the front have for whites on a first come first serve bases. After the boycott the segregation in buses in Baton Rouge ended.

President George Bush, Yes or No?

I don’t have any thing against George Bush. But what really bugs me is hearing people say in school that call George Bush stupid, and well I ask and ask them, “Why they call George Bush stupid?” And all they bring up is the War on Iraq. Those people that support President George Bush go ahead “4 More Years!” I really don’t care and if you’re going to call President George Bush stupid bring up some important facts. Don’t just bring up the War on Iraq. Man, leave those people alone. It’s you and your stupid ideas. “So what are you going to bring up?” I posted a Blog titled “Memories” talking about what I would remember about my generation. Someone commented by writing this, “If it’s anything bad on Bush I agree.” And I write to this person, “If you are going to support someone, you should at least know what the person is either writing or talking about.” But hey if you want to talk bad about President George Bush go ahead, I’m not stopping you. If you support President George Bush than go ahead keep cheering “4 More Years” I’m not stopping you either.
But as for me I don’t care. I don’t support President George Bush or any one else. All I am is a member of a broken society.

Memories

What will you remember about your generation? What will you hold as important to you?

Ex: 9/11, the war on Iraq, George Bush.

There has been nothing of importance so far in the generation I am living in. so I have nothing to remember. And 9/11 was tragic but not memorable. Iraq, just leave them alone, and George Dumb-Ass Bush. Who the hell cares?

back 2 school

Man have you ever noticed that just when you are getting comfortable on Christmas break you have to go back to school. I just went paintball shooting yesterday and my body still aches. However, screw it I am coming to school anyways because it is worth it. I get to learn new things and stuff.
